Kelley joined Johnson & Krol in 2012 and oversees the firm's employee benefits practice. Kelley assists and advises clients with a variety of employee benefit plan issues, including compliance and administration. Kelley's areas of expertise include plan design, plan document drafting, fiduciary compliance, service provider arrangements, prohibited transactions, reporting and disclosure requirements, participant communications, and benefit claims and disputes.
Kelley advises plan sponsors and plan fiduciaries on all aspects of compliance with the laws regulating employee benefit plans including ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, COBRA, and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA). Kelley has extensive experience with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), including Section 1557 nondiscrimination rules, employer shared responsibility requirements and IRC Sections 6055 and 6056 reporting requirements. She also assists clients with audits by the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor.
